Three more days til Ee Can and David comes for me and six more days til I fly back home!

Oh my goodness

I can't wait till my aunt comes back from Melbourne! She's been there for more than two years with David, her boyfriend, and I can't wait to see her!

They'll be flying down end of this month to Singapore first and then they'll be going Malacca (David's hometown) before they pick me up on Friday, 1st February. The plan is to bring me down to the city to do some Chinese New Year shopping before Ee Can (that's what I call my aunt) and I fly down to Kuching on the following Monday night. Yay!

Not only is Ee Can back, Ee Dol (that's what I call my other aunt from Perth) will be back in Kuching at the same time!! DOUBLE YAY!!! The last time I saw her was about two years ago when she made a surprise visit to Kuching! Mummy's very very happy and super excited that both her sisters will be back in Kuching at the same time. It's been a while since that happened! =)

The last time both Ee Can and Ee Dol were in Kuching was the year before Ee Dol was diagnosed with leukemia in Perth. It was a total shock because she's such a healthy person! By the way, she has been living in Australia for about a decade because her husband (Uncle Gordon) is an Australian citizen. Nobody really suspected cancer when she started vomiting and all and actually thought that she was finally pregnant! The doctor she visited at the Perth Royal Hospital did a blood test when she made her visit and discovered she had a very abnormal blood count and confirmed she had leukemia.

Leukemia = cancer of the blood or bone marrow

If the doctor did not discover it sooner, she would have had only three months to live.

Praise the Lord for the early detection!! They quickly gave her chemo treatments and the works! Praise the Lord again that she was working as a dental nurse in the government sector and her medical fees, chemotherapy and everything was paid for by the Australian government!! She did not have to spend a single cent! Probably that was one of the reasons she had to go to Perth long ago. If she was still in Kuching, the leukemia might not have been detected sooner and she would have to spend thousands of ringgit for her medical treatment and so on! Hmmm.. All in God's timing! =)

Anyway, I can't wait for the Chinese New Year Holidays!! Yay!! This time I'll be using MAS cause daddy used his Enrich points that were going to expire! YAY!!! The last time I was at KLIA was when I was in Form 4. Haha.. eh..

About today, I nearly killed my friend!

(*_*)

We were having lunch and I was telling her about something stupid one of my classmates said to me and she laughed and CHOKED ON HER FOOD TILL HER FACE WAS TOMATO RED!!!

AAAAAHHHHH!!!! PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hit her back repeatedly and was so worried! Worried! Worried! AAaaaaaahhhhhh!! I felt so bad! So embarrassed! So guilty!! She said it burned and she felt like it went into her lungs! Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!

What to do? What to do?

I continued hitting her back and bought her water to drink! After a few minutes, she said that she felt a little better (she didn't look better!! Waaaaaah!!!!!!) and I completely lost my mood to joke around throughout the rest of the time. I wasn't going to take another risk. Eheh..... =/

I'm so sorry Juen.

A start

My first week back in college was alright. Not much homework as the teachers returned our semester 1 test papers instead! I did ok as my average scored a grade 'B'. Hehe..

  • Economics (80A)
  • Mathematics (80A)
  • Thinking Skills (73B)
  • Further Mathematics (61C)
  • Physics (60C)

I think I did pretty alright! At least all my subjects scored above the average and I didn't get a 'D' for anything! (^.^) But I MUST score better for my Trials in March! Hmmm..

My class (PE11) this semester is now chucked to the SAM block. All our classes (except Further Math and during Lab and lectures) are squished into the much smaller classrooms on the 3rd floor of the SAM block! The reason? Some people in my class moved to another class and one dropped out of the programme. So we have 26 people (if I'm not mistaken) in our class and we "fit nicely" into those classrooms. Grrr.. The A Levels January intake is much larger (around 750+ people, my intake was around 200+) and need the bigger classrooms. Hmph!!

I might have been the only one who did not go anywhere during the holidays. Don't count me flying back home to Kuching, I mean, everyone else went places like Thailand, Bali, Singapore, Australia etc. So nice... I miss travelling and going places. Hey wait! It just crossed my mind that I'm now the only one from East Malaysia in my class! Woohoo or boohoo?

Anyway, my unit has two new housemates (Loges and Ley Ying finished their programmes last year) and they're occupying the 2-people bedroom next to mine. One's from Brunei and one's from Sabah, YAY! Borneo people! Haha! The good thing about them (so far!) is that they are EARLY BIRDS! The "early-to-bed-early-to-rise" kind of people!
=D
I'm so happy!! I hope that they will be nice and clean people (Please!! No dirty habits or anything disgusting!) because I'll be staying with them for the whole year!!! It would be horrible if your housemate does not flush the toilet or leave trash lying around for ants and flies and uses your things without asking and eating your food in the fridge and.... Well, some stuff did happen to me last year. I hope I won't have to face problems like these this time around. Eheh.. (^.^)

I think the saddest thing that happened this year so far is Rendall's stolen Kembara. =( He was having his usual Accounting classes at CADAS on Wednesday night and after he finished, his car was no where to be found! Later he and Bion found broken glass at the spot where he parked. SO SAD!! That's the family's only good car as the other one is kind of ricketty (can you call a car that?) and has problems. Besides that, his Kembara also picked me up and brought me places! Rendall even drove with that car up to Sematan with mummy to visit me when I was in National Service! ='( I hope the car would be found!

If anyone spots a purple Kembara with the plate number QKU6582, please do not hesitate to call the Kuching police! Thanks!

About my holidays

Back in Subang and back in college! I wonder where should I start?

I did not update much during the holidays as I was out a lot and rather spend my holiday time with my family and Rendall. One thing I should highlight during my holiday was the Christmas gathering at my house! It was not something very "Christmasy" actually unless you consider giving presents and having fun as part of the rituals of a "great Christmas" or something. But all in all, it was a good party. My little sister was the one who called for it and kind of organised it.

I'll list down the names of those who came (in alphabetical order!):

  1. Aldrin
  2. Angeline
  3. Benjamin
  4. Cedric
  5. Danny
  6. Eric
  7. Garrick
  8. Jeryl
  9. Jylene
  10. Kenny
  11. Mary
  12. Rendall
  13. Samantha
  14. Sze En
  15. Sze Howe
  16. Tay
  17. Vivian

And of course not forgetting, my sister and I.

We had an ice-breaking game (conducted by my lil' sis!) which was called "2 Truths and A Lie". But before that, there was a little excitement going on when Jylene accidentally opened the bathroom door when Cedric was inside! I think he did not lock the door properly and Jylene on the other hand did not knock to check if there was anyone inside and AAAAAH!

You get the picture. Hehe..

Anyway, back to the ice-breaker! We split up to three groups and each group had to send a representative to give three statements about themselves and out of the three, one of it has to be a lie about themselves. To gain points, the other two groups had to figure out which one was the lie. Kind of easy to understand? Somehow some people forgot about themselves and one of the truths about themselves was in the end, a lie. I think it was Kenny and Sze En who told two lies and a truth instead!

My group (group 3) won in the end! Woohoo! I went up last to tell my two truths and a lie and group 1 was totally depending on Rendall to guess the right answer! Haha! I kind of knew that Rendall would not know some of the minor details and he would be stomped on this one! (Sorry love! =P) We won by a point though. (^.^)

We had dinner after that. Mummy and Jylene contributed to the food and we bought 7 whole roasted chickens from Choice Daily. We actually spent about RM60 more than the total budget! Everyone kept coming back for more and a little later, some people got hungry and mummy cooked some more spaghetti! I blame the guys for eating A LOT which caused the overspending! Haha! =P

We reserved the gift exchanging part for the last and I guess that was the most interesting part of the night! It would have been more suspenseful if everyone was totally clueless on who would be giving them their presents (I got a very nice scarf and pretty earrings from Sam!). But this gift exchanging was not as great as the one we had at my place in 2005 with the Girls' and Boys' Brigade carollers! There were about 40 of us (including the Officers) and it was really really FUN!!!

But that's another story all together.

Besides the party, I got sick during the holidays. Bummer. My high fever lasted for three whole days!! And it was a bug so the rest of my family got sick after I got well. Eheh.. (^.^)"

I went out with this Australian guy during the holidays too! Don't get me wrong! I did not date him (I'm already steady!!), I went out with him to catch up on our stuff! Sze Howe went to Perth three years ago and came to Kuching in December 2007! Unfortunately we did not spend enough time (how can you cram 3 years of your life in just 7 hours??) chatting and all. Next time then?

I gotta be going class now! Break's over!
