P&P&Z

"Sometimes the last person on earth you want to be with is the one person you can't be without."

*sigh*

I'm pretty sure that most of you have seen this movie and fallen in love with it. Or maybe you have read the book and fallen in love with it. But no matter how you got to know the story, I'm 97% sure that you would have fallen in love with it anyway.

(^.^)

Oh, wait look! What's this?

OH MY GOODNESS!

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT????

It looks like a super skinny Keira Knightley losing her skin and now you can actually see her bones!

Ok, that was mean. I'm just kidding!

That, my friends, is the smart-ass idea of a Los Angeles-based writer Seth Grahame-Smith. Jane Austen's novel has been zombie-fied and *sniff* Elizabeth Bennet kicks flesh-eating monsters' ass in the quiet village of Meryton (probably like how Buffy kicked vampire ass in Sunnydale).

Whyyyy????

"Why else in the original should a regiment arrive on Lizzie Bennet's doorstep when they should have been off fighting Napoleon... it was to protect the family from an invasion of brain-eaters, obviously." - Seth Grahame-Smith

Whaaat??? (-_-"

Well then, maybe they should introduce Freddy Kreuger to Oliver Twist! Or lengthen Romeo and Juliet's story because their death was made to look like suicide but the truth is, they were killed by the Son of Sam! Heh.

But I do wonder how the story will be like though. Maybe I'll try and see if I can get my hands on one of the copies.

Then again, maybe I'll wait a while. I have these to look through first! XD

I see you have Anton's Elementary Linear Algebra. If you find it "dull", you can try Gilbert Strang's "Linear Algebra and Its Applications". Really good book~

Hmmm... Will check and see if the library has it next Monday. =D

By any chance you doing Actuarial Studies too? And have we met before? *raises eyebrow*

=P

I did plan on doing Actuarial Science. However, I ended up doing Mathematics (majoring in Finance). Along the way, I kept up with my interest in Actuarial Science, so I know the whole course very well.

And have we met before? Perhaps, if you are a Marian and I am a Thomian.

=)

Yeps, Marian since Pri 1! Hmmm..

Anyway, I think you can still do Actuarial Studies as a postgrad as long as you have a strong Math background. Some of the lecturers in Melb Uni who are teaching Ac Studies have degrees in Math.

Where are you studying now? Should probably get your contact details then maybe we can have a chat about it or something. Unless you prefer to stay in touch this way? (^.^)

I am considering going straight for the professional examinations from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

By the way, I'm starting my PhD. (Management) later this month.

If you don't mind, you can add me in MSN at fabian_moa@yahoo.com.
